Our treated carcassing timber is straight, smooth, and consistently sized, with eased edges for faster handling. We stock C24 structurally graded timber, compliant with EN14081-2 and pressure treated with Tanalith E for durability. Available in various sizes and lengths, our treated timber, including roof battens compliant with British Standard BS5534, is perfect for applications where moisture or fungal attacks are likely.
Applications for Treated Structural Timber:
• Roof Rafters
• Timber Framing
• Ceiling Joists
• Floor Joists
• Deck Joists
C24 timber is a premium grade, capable of handling higher loads and wider spans due to its tighter grain, resulting from a slower growth rate. This results in higher density, and improved stability. Pressure-treated wood can be used internally or externally.
Tanalith E is a water-based preservative containing copper and organic biocides, providing long-term protection against fungal and insect attacks. It gives the timber an initial green colour that weathers to a honey brown and eventually a natural silver grey, without losing preservative protection.
Our 47 x 150mm C24 Graded and Treated timber in 4.8m lengths is also UC4 treated, making it ideal for deck joists or ground contact.
