Contract Administration of Home Renovation

Our clients approached us on the recommendation of a friend whom we had assisted on a previous project.

They were undertaking a comprehensive renovation of their home and needed to appoint a project manager. They were still working with their architect, an interior designer and a landscape designer but they felt it was therefore important that they had a single independent project manager to coordinate the various parties and ensure that their builder was given clear and consistent advice.

With a large build cost, and a very high-end specification they were very anxious to make sure that their building works went to according to plan.

We were appointed in the role of Contract Administrator, but also to provide additional remote and onsite oversight. We visited the site regularly – checking the works were completed according to the designs and holding meetings with the client and their build team. We also carried out valuations and checked the contractor invoices for payment. Once the main extension and refurbishment works were completed, we continued to oversee the landscaping of the garden and the snagging and defects at the end of the project.

As you can see the result is a stunning family home with some wonderful outdoor entertaining spaces.
