TechVantage T, the ‘big brother’ of all our TechVantage systems, really lets timber frame’s highly adaptable qualities shine. Accommodating any natural breathable solution as well as a full spectrum of cladding options, this system has superior thermal and airtightness qualities that make it the ideal basis for a modern, energy-efficient building.

This twin stud solution is a great option for self-builders creating high-performing buildings. Constructed using two 90mm studs with a 90mm separation, fully fitted with the natural breathable insulation of your choice. The insulation, be it glass, mineral wool, or any other material, is packed between a sheathing board and a wood fibre board to improve airtightness levels with a choice of breathable membranes. Reducing the timber fraction content of the wall solution improves the overall performance of the build, meaning the system can achieve U-values ranging from 0.13 – 0.09 W/m2K and prevent thermal bridging. And there’s no need to incorporate expensive bolt-on technologies or space heaters and coolers.
