Roof with tiles

Tudor’s sand-faced clay Plain and Peg tiles have a natural variation of camber, texture and tone that will complement both listed buildings and modern self-build homes.

Made in Kent using traditional skills, our locally sourced sands help produce a range of colours that look stunning from the outset – and get even better with the passage of time!

  • Antique colours

Dark Antique (warm black tone), Medium Antique (earth brown tone) and Red Antique (a rich mid-red tone) are made with a coarse-grained sand to give the mature appearance of reclaimed handmade tiles.

  • Sussex colours

Sussex Red (orange tone) and Sussex Brown (a lighter brown tone) are inspired by traditional colours found in the south east of England.  We use a finer grained Kent sand to produce a richness and vibrancy that is popular throughout the country.

  • Romney colours

Our popular Rustic Red (orange-red), Russet Brown (mellow brown) and Natural Clay (brown-orange clay colour) resemble classic handmade tiles of the past with a multipurpose appeal.

  • Jubilee

The unique colourways of Jubilee with its brown earthy face and random hand applied darker tones, have a mature and seasoned look with that will add character to old and new properties alike!

  • Weathered Earth

This beautifully subtle and muted earth tone has the time-worn appearance of clay tiles that have naturally darkened with age. Well suited to restoration and heritage projects, Weathered Earth is also the perfect companion to our Antique and Sussex colours.

Our range of natural face colourings and shades will enable your roofer to achieve the perfect look for your home.

Please note: our peg and plain tiles should be taken from a number of pallets, (a minimum three pallets is ideal, safely mixed on the ground) in order to ensure the best blending of colour on the roof.
