Joe Jacques was keen for his self build home to reflect the Georgian origins of his family’s business. His architect therefore faced the challenge of matching the symmetry, scale and proportions of the style in a convincing and characterful way.
After overcoming initial planning objections via an appeal, the family were able to build their dream home on a leafy Surrey plot. The result is an impressive three storey brick-clad property, including a basement.
A spacious contemporary interior, including a double-height dining area, offers a stunning contrast to the heritage style on the outside.
